The laboratory aims to provide students with an accessible and practical virtual learning environment for understanding the components, assembly, construction sequence, and application of conventional and modern formwork systems used in concrete construction.

- Help students understand the differences between conventional and proprietary/modern formwork systems.
- Introduce students to systems such as PERI, climbing formwork, Flex formwork, HD towers, and aluminium formwork.
- Develop an understanding of how the appropriate formwork system is selected for different structural elements and construction situations.
- Provide students with practical construction exposure through a virtual environment, particularly when access to physical formwork systems or construction sites is limited.
